New County Information

 

On July 21, 2025, Shackelford County Commissioners voted to enact a Burn Ban to take effect immediately and scheduled to end September 4, 2025. The concern about the ample fuel in our pastures along with the more frequent dry, hot winds has raised concerns that a very few days could find the County in a precarious position. Courthouse Hours of Operation
Effective January 1, 2018, the Shackelford County Courthouse will have the following hours of operation:

Mondays – Thursdays:
8:30 AM – 12:00 PM; 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Fridays:
8:30 AM – 12:00 PM; 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
